Good to retain a local San Jose bankruptcy lawyer.

By Ryan C. Wood

If you are having problems paying your bills each month we can help. We are leading provider of low cost San Jose Chapter 7 bankruptcy services. We have filed hundreds and hundreds of bankruptcy cases for residents of the Bay Area and California. I also was employed as staff counsel for the Chapter 13 Trustee for the San Francisco and Santa Rosa divisions of the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California. My experience administering bankruptcy cases will benefit you and your family. You also will only meet with experienced bankruptcy lawyers and not paralegals or legal assistance that cannot legally give you any legal advice. You deserved to meet with an attorney, know the name of your attorney, be able to communicate directly with your attorney and have confidence your attorney knows that is going on in your case. You will have our direct emails and we answer our phones personally the old fashion way.

Low Cost Required Courses

There are two required courses you must complete when filing and receiving a discharge in Chapter 7. The first one is credit counseling and should be completed before your case is filed. This course should cost you no more than $5.00. Many bankruptcy attorneys will send you to a provider that charges $50 for this course plus a processing fee for basically doing nothing. We know that times are tough and paying $50 for something that should cost only $5 makes a difference.

The second course is debtor education or financial management. The second course is completed after the case is filed. This course should not cost you anymore than $7.95. Again, why pay $50 or more for something that should cost about the same as a Subway sandwich and drink?

Credit Reports and Tax Transcripts

It is a good idea to run a three-source credit report to make sure your creditors are listed correctly in the petition. The provider we use charges $35 for a single report and $70 for a joint report. We do not charge an processing fees. If you have tax debt is a good idea to obtain an account transcript from the IRS or FTB prior to filing the petition for bankruptcy too. We will obtain these transcripts at no cost you. We will just nee you permission to obtain this information.

The bottom line is will provide you the personal service you deserve for a reasonable fee. Our reasonable fee may not be the lowest, but you are going to get the best value. Be wary of lawyers who charge bottom basement fees. They will not want to spend any time on your case and are just trying to get as many clients as possible and do the least amount of work in your case. You do get what you pay for in life sometimes. Please give us a call toll free at 1-877-9NEW-LIFE (877-963-9543) to start your new life without the stress and headache of your debts.
